Each and every organisation deals with the task of managing conflicting stakeholders with competing objectives when making critical decisions. Decision processes may break down due to strong personalities and general lack of consensus on priorities or just plain lack of well-defined criteria relevant for the decision.

 

 

 

 

Cognitive Tools offers tools and a method (DECYS) with which organisations can make their decision processes more structured as well as more transparent. Cognitive Tools was founded in 2000 as spin-off of the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research TNO. It now offers consultancy and instruments supporting decision making within the fields of procurement and policy making.
